When the auctioneer's hammer struck the auctioneer's podium for the third time at this year's VDP.Rheingau auction in the layman's dormitory of Kloster Eberbach, lot #27, the 2021 MONTE VACANO in the Methusalem bottle [6 l], was knocked down at a sensational price. Starting with a bid of €1,500, the large bottle went to its new owner for €14,280!
This means that the fourth vintage of the Utra premium brand with "family roots" from the Robert Weil winery once again achieved a fantastic price. The more than 100 magnum bottles of MONTE VACANO also achieved a more than remarkable result of EUR 1,250 per magnum and another increase compared to the previous vintages. Like the previous vintages, the 750 ml format of the 2021 MONTE VACANO was oversubscribed several times in the subscription shortly after release.
