Robert Weil - Estate Rieslings

The grapes for the estate's Gutsriesling (estate wines) are sourced from top parcels adjacent to the Gräfenberg hillside in Kiedrich. These southwest-facing slopes surrounding the estate consist of medium to deep soils of stony, weathered, small particles of phyllite (similar of slate) mixed with loess-loam.

These estate wines range from QbA wines for everyday enjoyment to upscale Spätlese wines, i.e. the term Gutsriesling is used to denote wines of the ripeness levels (quality categories) QbA, as well as the Prädikats Kabinett and Spätlese. All three categories are vinified in three styles: trocken (dry), halbtrocken (off-dry) and wines without these declarations (as wines with a judicious amount of natural residual sweetness).
